This weekly chess club in Manchester City Centre invites players of all ages and abilities to come along for a game of social chess. This popular chess club sees about 50 players come and go across the evening. It takes place at Manchester Central Library and offers plenty of boards, including boards for people with visual impairments. Come alone or with friends and challenge someone to a game.
Beginners are very welcome; all you need is a basic understanding of the board and how the pieces move. There’s no need to book, just drop in on the evening, it’s free.
